Check out The Spuntino audio magazine
For the past several years, this publication has been my attempt to share what it actually feels like to eat and drink in Italy. The real one, with wrong turns and great bottles and conversations with people who know things.
Vineyard Adventures started as a wine tour and education service. The posts reflected that. What I didn’t see coming was how my previous career in audio and a decade of studying and teaching Italian food and wine would eventually pull toward the same thing.
The Spuntino is an audio magazine about food and wine. Stories told through sound, produced by writers and audio makers from around the world. Think BBC Radio 4 meets a long lunch. You hear the market, the kitchen, the person who grew the thing you’re about to eat.
It’s a multi-contributor platform, not a solo show. I’ll be producing some pieces myself, but the whole point is to bring in other voices. Food writers whose stories deserve more than a byline. Audio producers who want to work in this space. People with something to say about how we eat.
The magazine publishes on Substack at thespuntino.com. Free and paid tiers. If this publication ever meant something to you, I think you’ll find The Spuntino worth your time.
Come take a listen.
